Who this is for

This article is for Searcle workspace users responsible for reviewing, editing, and maintaining content that powers AI answers and your public Searcle subdomain.

What you’ll do

You’ll use the Content Hub to:

  • View all content in your workspace

  • Understand how different types of content are organized

  • Edit published content to keep it accurate and up to date

Most day-to-day work happens in Published content.

What the Content Hub is

The Content Hub is the central place where all content used by Searcle lives.

It brings together:

  • System-managed Foundation assets

  • AI-generated Draft content

  • Live Published content

This structure lets you maintain accuracy, quality, and visibility across AI systems and search engines.

How content is organized

Content in the Hub is grouped into three sections, each with a distinct purpose.

Foundation

Foundation content includes system-managed assets used by AI models and search engines to understand and index your site.

Foundation content includes:

  • LLMs.txt — A plain-language brief that provides brand context and talking points for AI models

  • Robots.txt — Instructions that control how search engines crawl your site

  • Sitemap.xml — A list of published pages that helps search engines discover content

You generally do not need to edit Foundation content. These assets update automatically as your content grows.

Only modify Foundation content if Searcle support explicitly instructs you to do so.

Draft content

Draft content represents AI-generated content that has not been published yet.

At this time:

  • Draft content is reviewed with the Searcle team directly as part of onboarding or ongoing collaboration

  • Drafts are not visible on your public subdomain

  • Drafts are not published automatically

A self-serve draft review workflow is coming soon.

Published content

Published content is live on your Searcle subdomain and visible to users and AI systems.

By default:

  • Searcle publishes generated content directly to Published content

  • You can edit Published content at any time

  • Edits update the existing page rather than creating a new one

This is where you’ll spend most of your time.

How editing works

All edits are made directly in the Content Hub.

To edit published content:

  1. Open a Published content item

  2. Click into any field to edit

  3. Make your changes

  4. Click Save changes

Saved changes typically take effect within 24 hours.

⚠️ Foundation content should only be edited if directed by Searcle support.

How content review works today

Currently, Searcle publishes content directly to Published content on your behalf.

If content requires review before publishing, the Searcle team will coordinate reviews with you outside the platform.

A human-in-the-loop workflow is coming soon. Once available, you’ll be able to enable a workspace setting that routes new content to Draft content for approval before publishing.

How to confirm success

You’re successfully using the Content Hub when:

  • Foundation content appears in the Foundation section

  • Published content is visible in the Content Hub

  • You can open Published content, make edits, and save changes

  • Updates appear on your AI subdomain after processing

Troubleshooting

Content is missing

  • If Foundation or Published content doesn’t appear after setup completes, or published pages aren’t live on your subdomain, contact Searcle support.

I can’t view, edit, or save content

  • If editing or saving is unavailable, contact Searcle support. This usually indicates a workspace or permission issue.
